After running a successful business for over eight years, Bohemian Finds in Market Walk shopping centre, Northampton, had no choice but to close their doors in June due to the devastating impact of coronavirus on their sales.

Gretchen Larkin and Vicky Stuart were forced to think outside of the box when threatened with permanent closure. After six months of careful planning and re-grouping their business model, they have relaunched with a brand spanking new website and rebrand of their logo on September 30.

It was important to the owner, Ms Larkin, that her 40s and 50s inspired clothing shop did not vanish in a sea of other online shopping websites.

Reflecting on their journey for the last six months, colleagues Gretchen and Vicky, said: “We’d like to say a huge thank you to all of our customers who have continued to support us during COVID-19.

“It’s been one of the most challenging times we, as a business, have ever faced and our hearts go out to everyone who has lost loved ones and to all those who are still struggling with the economic effects of this awful pandemic.

“Like many other businesses, we have had to restructure our business model, starting with a complete rebrand of our logo, website and a new way of working for the future. One thing that has remained constant though, is our love and passion of what we do.”

Bohemian Finds are now based in Vintage Retreat on Lower Harding Street, off Spring Lane. Vintage Retreat is an emporium of vintage traders all under one room with a tea room which Ms Larkin and Ms Stuart have described as “to die for”.

They added: “If you haven’t visited, it’s a must, plus we will be on hand on certain calendar dates so please make sure you keep an eye on the website as we’d love to see you, have a natter and - of course - advise you on some of the new collections.

“We hope you enjoy pursuing our new website as much as we did creating it and would love to hear your feedback and suggestions.”
