A Northampton taxi firm has shared how it is fitting its cars with plastic sheeting as part of its solution to ferrying passengers during the pandemic.

Amber Cars says it has now fitted half the cars in its fleet with screens to provide for customers who ask for them.

the firm also claims it is the only one in Northamptonshire who can provide this in conventional cars, and is also offering to click and collect shopping to houses.

A spokesperson, David Sherwood, said: "We have numerous safety measures in place, and these include our drivers are asked to sanitise their vehicles after every client. We can offer contactless payment if requested and the screens fitted between the front and rear seats.

"We are taking these measures to keep our drivers and customers safe during the pandemic."
