Northampton nightclub applies for licence to stay open until 4am five nights a week
A Northampton nightclub that recently moved into an iconic town centre venue has applied for a new licence allowing it to stay open until 4am five nights a week.
An application has been submitted to West Northamptonshire Council for the Encore Complex at 3 George Row, The Courtyard, Northampton.
Applicant Jack Hughes is seeking permission for the supply of alcohol, late-night refreshment and regulated entertainment, including live and recorded music.
The application is to open from midday until 4am every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday and comes after Encore relocated from its former home in Bridge Street to the former University of Northampton Students' Union venue in George Row.

The nightclub opened at its new home earlier this summer, taking over the large town centre building previously known as The Platform and Element.
Encore's move followed a period operating from 34-38 Bridge Street. Council licensing documents published earlier this year confirmed that operators were planning to relocate to the former Students' Union premises in George Row around May. At the time, licensing officers confirmed the George Row premises did not have an existing premises licence and a new application would be required.
The latest licensing application proposes the "provision of regulated entertainment", late-night refreshments and the supply of alcohol, as well as live music, recorded music and entertainment similar to live or recorded music or dance performances.
Members of the public can make representations on the application until Tuesday, August 25.
The full application can be inspected by contacting West Northamptonshire Council's licensing team at One Angel Square, Angel Street, Northampton.
