The company says its Covid-19 measures include screens between electronic machines and at gaming tables. There will also be restrictions on the number of people who can play games at any one time.

Grosvenor says it will also continue to accept cash and is encouraging customers to use contactless payment where possible.

Jonathon Swaine, managing director at Grosvenor Casinos, said: “The health and safety of our customers and team remains our priority. We want to create the best gaming and hospitality experience which guests know and love and a lot of work has gone into ensuring we have the highest standards of hygiene and safety measures in place to do so when we reopen.

"We’re looking forward to welcoming customers back to Grosvenor Casino clubs across the country very soon.”

The company says all customers will be expected to use hand sanitizer upon entry and enhanced cleaning will be carried out on tables, chips and machines.
