A Northampton business has pledged to give away £25,000 of technology to help individuals or companies through lockdown.
Telecommunications company, Guru Technology, based in Dallington, will give away technology such as iPads and laptops to children who do not have the necessary equipment to learn from home, and broadband to families who need it.

Arran said: “I feel guilty saying it with all the pain and struggling in the world right now, but we have had the best six to nine months ever, so we started thinking about how we can help people at this time.
“People are still out there that need the solutions we provide; some might be scared about using something new or some might not be able to afford it.
“We want to help these people locally and nationally.”
Since announcing the giveaway, which Arran says could exceed £25,000, on social media on Friday (January 8), Arran has been inundated with emails and calls as the post has been shared widely.

Arran’s giveaway will help children such as these, as well as businesses that need help setting up working from home and individuals who need technology to stay in touch with family members.
He added: “Those children cannot do any work or talk to their friends and there will be so many more like that.
“If we can get iPads to those guys, that’s 50 kids who can carry on learning for the next few months.

“I’m also hoping other businesses will see this and want to do something to help too.
“Not everyone is struggling. If everyone did a little bit we would be in a better situation in the UK than we are now.”
