Northampton business owner’s Italian food hamper praised as ‘best present ever’ by happy recipient
A Northampton business owner’s Italian food hamper offering was recently praised as the “best present ever” by a happy recipient.
Hample Italian Hampers, launched at the end of 2022, was founded by Adriana Staniscia who has more than a decade of experience specialising in Italian food.
The business shares a space with popular sandwich shop Spread and Nova Aesthetics & Beauty in Adnitt Road, which has proved a success over the past three years for Adriana.
Adriana described Hample Italian Hampers as a business that is accessible to the local people of Northampton, through collections from Adnitt Road and personal deliveries. The hampers are also available for nationwide postal delivery up and down the country.

Customers often like to send hampers to people in different areas, and corporate businesses remain a substantial part of trade for Hample Italian Hampers.
The hampers contain real Italian food and brands, and Adriana slices, vacuum packs and labels all the cured meats, fresh cheeses, antipasti and olives. These are chosen based on the style, tastes and price the customer has selected.
Reflecting on 2025, Adriana told the Chronicle & Echo: “It’s been pleasantly busy and I have a lot of return customers. I’ve been working alongside Spread with a really nice synergy and we are supportive of each other’s businesses. It’s clicked into place and doing very well.”
Adriana says she is often thanked by customers, who have taken care to choose Hample Hampers to provide a gift of the highest quality for their loved ones.

One customer said that their friends who are hard to impress sent a picture of themselves with the hamper and described it as the best present they have ever had. “There’s no higher praise than that,” said Adriana.
Staying in business has been Adriana’s proudest achievement of 2025 and she said: “We’re not a walk-in business. People have to go to the extra effort to scroll through the website or contact you with what they’d like. I’m happy to be in business.”
Adriana was asked what message she would like to send to the Northampton community about the importance of supporting independent businesses like hers in the run up to Christmas.
“I really appreciate it,” said Adriana. “National hamper companies won’t appreciate it as much. With commercialism and buying things for the sake of it at Christmas, someone who has got everything will appreciate food. Everyone has to think about what to eat everyday and they can delight in food no matter what they’ve got. It’s a good present.”
Adriana described the final quarter of the year as “mental” and says she does her best to fulfil every order, no matter how busy she gets. Meat and cheese are among the most popular requests at this time of year.
As she is happy with the way things are going for Hample Hampers at the moment, Adriana looks forward to continuing her hard work and staying in business in 2026 and beyond.
