NLive Radio announces new weekly slot for Open4Business with Simon Cox taking the helm full‑time

NLive Radio is pleased to announce that its flagship business programme, Open4Business, will be moving to a new prime-time slot on Wednesday evenings from 7pm to 9pm, starting 4th March 2026.
The show will also welcome a new full‑time presenter, Simon Cox, well known as the founder of NNBN local business support organisation, and as Head of Policy at the Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce, who will be bringing his extensive local business knowledge and passion for enterprise to the programme each week.
Originally launched over eight years ago by Associate Professor Adrian Pryce DL, Open4Business has become the county’s leading platform for showcasing local enterprise. The station warmly commends Adrian’s vision and dedication in establishing a show that has consistently championed innovation, entrepreneurship, and the Northamptonshire business community.
Station Manager Rebecca Steers said “We are proud to see Open4Business continue to grow and evolve. Adrian Pryce created something truly special, and we are deeply grateful for the eight years he invested in shaping this show into what it is today. With Simon stepping in full-time and the move to a new Wednesday prime-time slot, we’re excited to expand the show’s reach and connect even more businesses across Northamptonshire.”
While the show is broadcast from the NLive Radio studios in Northampton, Open4Business has always taken a county‑wide perspective. It remains the only dedicated business radio programme in Northamptonshire, offering a unique space for local entrepreneurs, SMEs, and major employers to share their stories, celebrate successes, explore challenges, and inspire others.
New full time presenter of the show Simon Cox said “I’m thrilled to be taking on Open4Business full‑time and continuing the incredible legacy Adrian Pryce built. Northamptonshire is home to so many remarkable businesses, from start-ups to global brands, and this show is all about giving them a voice. I’m excited to help shine a light on their achievements, support collaboration, and champion the innovation happening across the county.”
The refreshed format will continue to spotlight local business journeys, share best practice, and promote the strengths and opportunities of doing business in Northamptonshire.
You can hear the show live Wednesdays 7pm to 9pm on 106.9fm across the Northampton area, now on DAB Daventry into Northampton, via the stations website nliveradio.com, smart speaker or its dedicated smart app. You can also listen to the show again in full at nliveradio.com/open4business or just the interviews as podcasts via podfollow.com/open4business
