New private dental surgery opens at former nightclub in busy Northampton retail park – and it has already got glowing reviews

The Hub Dental Practice, which does not accept any NHS patients, has recently opened at the former Bar With No Name nightclub in St Peter’s Retail Park.

According to its website, the practice offers expert general, cosmetic, and restorative dentistry, with 24/7 emergency support. Equipped with ‘state-of-the-art’ technology, it provides ‘precise, high-quality care’.

The opening has been a long-time coming after proposals were first submitted in November 2023 and later approved in February 2024.

A Hub Dental Practice spokesman previously said: “The proposals aim to provide a new use to a vacant site which will continue to benefit the local economy while also providing a healthcare service to the community. It is believed… The Hub Dental Practice will provide a welcome addition to St Peters Walk.

"It is our intention to boost the number of dentists provided in Northampton and offer an additional healthcare service within the local community. Due to the site’s accessible location, it will provide the opportunity for most people with or without access to a vehicle within the Northampton area to get to the proposed site.”

The new site already has a 4.9 out of five-star rating from 110 Google Reviews.

One reviewer said: “The whole team made my dental emergency an overall excellent experience. Millie on reception was lovely from the start and I managed to get booked in for a consultation and have my problem tooth extracted all in the same day. Polar opposite experience to my regular dentist, thank you all. Would absolutely recommend Northampton Dental Hub to anyone in an emergency or for regular care. Their prices are reasonable and worth it for the level of care you receive.”

The site’s opening hours are Monday to Friday 8 am–7,30 pm, Saturday 8 am–5.30 pm, and Sunday 9 am–5.30 pm.

The Hub Dental Practice has had a site in Milton Keynes for more than 40 years, according to its website. That site boasts a 4.6 out of five-star rating from over 1,300 Google reviews.

St Peter’s Retail Park was bought by investment company Northhold Group from DTZ Investors at the start of 2023 for an undisclosed fee.

During their tenure, the investors’ first act was to scrap the controversial NCP parking contract at the site. Since then, they have introduced The Food Warehouse to replace the former Iceland store and expanded into the former discount store One Below. Private medical practice Med Life opened its doors in September 2024 . Umrah Express opened its doors there this summer.
