A new family-run company in Northamptonshire proving truck-mounted cranes is rapidly growing despite the challenges of setting up a new business during a global pandemic.

Silverstar Cranes was established in Silverstone in September with an investment of more than £1 million from a series of entrepreneurs.

The firm operates nationwide providing cranes to a range of clients and business development coordinator Oskar White is confident of more growth this year.

"Whilst we have managed to maintain a steady increase of customers, we have faced many walls...such as working from home, customer offices being closed, no face-to-face contact, weather impacts and economic struggles," he said.

"I would like to take this opportunity to show independent people that even through a lockdown you can start up new companies and follow your goals and ambitions.

"We hope to have a very successful summer and welcome as many carpentry, timberframe, new build companies as possible...as well as anyone who might need a hot tub lifting into their back garden!"

Silverstar's customers include well-known carpentry contractors such as LJ Construction, L&G Carpentry, AMC Carpentry, and Whittaker Carpentry.

Although new in the marketplace, the team behind Silverstar Cranes is by no means green when it comes to running a business.

Oskar said: "We make sure we hire the right people, with a can-do attitude and an eye for perfection. After all, we have a reputation to build!

"We are competitively priced, and pride ourselves on going that extra mile to ensure every job is done with the highest level of skill and safety, whilst completing it on time."
