A 'muddy and potholed' piece of land used as a car park in Towcester has been given a £25,000 facelift as part of a council regeneration project.
South Northamptonshire Council (SNC) has revamped the car park at Towcester Mill Brewery to provide extra space as the town comes out of lockdown.

Hide AdClayson Country Homes carried out the work on the car park, which provides 21 parking spaces including two disabled bays, as part of the Moat Lane Regeneration Scheme.
Cllr Dermot Bambridge, SNC portfolio holder for environmental services and chairman of the Moat Lane Regeneration Board, said: “It’s very pleasing to take another step towards the completion of the regeneration project.
“It is a great improvement to see the muddy pot-holed tract of land replaced with a new gravel finished surface, which is much more in keeping with the conservation area and the nearby Bury Mount scheduled ancient monument.”
Charges apply to the car park but customers at the brewery can claim a refund against purchases.
The Moat Lane project includes the recently-restored Mill House, Bury Mount ancient monument and the Watermeadows.
