Meet the sisters running village high street hidden gem known for its farmshop offering and event catering
Meet the sisters running a hidden gem business on a Northamptonshire village high street, which is known for its farmshop offering and event catering.
Philippa’s is located at 32a High Street in Bugbrooke, which opened in April 2022 after the business was originally established by Pippa Reeve two years prior.
Located in what is known by many as the old post office in Bugbrooke, they are stocked with fresh bread, meats, juice and an endless list of local produce.
They also offer freshly made hot and cold rolls, coffees, cakes and their homemade sausage rolls, available to take away or enjoy outside in their beautiful courtyard.

Pippa is joined by her sister Rosie Reeve, catering manager at Philippa’s, and the pair began this venture around five years ago in a converted horse trailer – which is still part of the business to this day.
They opened every week for two years in the horse trailer but as they needed more space, particularly to cook their own cakes and sausage rolls, they opened on Bugbrooke’s High Street.
The business also has a farmshop in Southam, which opened in March last year, and the most recent addition is the cafe at Rugby Farmers Market at Stoneleigh Park in Kenilworth.
“I don’t think there’s anything quite like us,” Rosie told the Chronicle & Echo. “We offer grab and go sandwiches, local produce and quality meats. We try to be as British as we can be. We loved travelling to farmshops and this is something we wanted to do.”

The team is also proud to offer event catering for up to 300 people and the entire offering has had a “really positive” reception from the community across Northamptonshire and beyond.
“Businesses pop in for sandwiches at lunchtimes and we’re very well supported,” said Rosie. “Our red onion chutney sausage rolls are the most popular. The convenience of our service, as they can get a sandwich in hand and go, appeals to people working from home.”
Following a very busy 2025, Philippa’s will focus on event catering this year and look forward to utilising the produce from their farmshops to bring spreads to life.
