The wait is finally over as the first guests prepare to experience a stay at Brownsover Hall Hotel as you’ve never seen it before.

Following an extensive restoration and multi-million pound investment, Distinct Group has announced the official reopening date for the Grade II* listed hotel.

The landmark property will welcome its first guests for preview stays in the first week of December 2025, ahead of its full public opening on Saturday, December 6.

Originally a Victorian Gothic mansion, Brownsover Hall Hotel has been transformed into a boutique hotel experience, blending period elegance with contemporary British design.

The relaunch features 28 individually styled bedrooms within the main house, Scotts, a modern brasserie, Franks Bar, and Boughton’s, a quintessential tearoom that celebrates traditional afternoon tea culture.

Gareth Leakey, Managing Director of Distinct Group Ltd, who acquired the property in September 2024, said: “We’re thrilled to announce the opening of Brownsover Hall Hotel, which, following a significant investment, marks an incredible milestone for our team and the wider community.

"Every element, from our art-inspired interiors to our carefully curated cuisine, reflects our commitment to authenticity, respect for the rich history of the property, and a standard of excellence we continually strive for.

"We can’t wait to welcome guests from near and far to experience this remarkable estate.”

Distinct Group, who also own Hotel Cromwell Stevenage and The Bedford Swan Hotel and Thermal Spa, is also pleased to confirm the acquisition of the additional four acres of land surrounding Brownsover Hall Hotel, completing ownership of the estate’s original eleven-acre grounds.

Phase two of the development is already underway and will see the remaining 21 bedrooms within the coach house and stable block fully restored and brought into operation in the first quarter of 2026.

In addition, further projects for the wider estate are in development, with more exciting details to be announced in due course.

The reopening of Brownsover Hall Hotel represents Distinct Group’s ongoing commitment to revitalising historic properties and creating exceptional hospitality destinations. The hotel aims to become both a landmark venue for the region and a much-loved community asset for Rugby and the surrounding area.
