Since the start of March when the Help Our Hospitality campaign was first launched, we have heard the story of a different hospitality venue each week.
Whether a business’ takings and footfall are on the up, or still tackling the perfect storm as it has been described by many, each independent venue deserves our support as much as the next.
Here are 10 venues across Northampton that have taken the time to speak out for the Help Our Hospitality campaign and deserve your support.
If your hospitality venue would like to be part of the campaign, email [email protected].

9. John Franklin’s
John Franklin’s, a cheese and wine bar at the heart of the town’s Cultural Quarter, has seen the price of its best selling product go through the roof over the past seven years since opening. The team has worked hard to ensure the venue continues to evolve with the trends – which has seen pizzas added to the menu in a bid to keep things fresh for customers. Why not pop along and try the latest addition? Photo: John Franklin’s

10. The Sheaf Inn
The owner and chef at The Sheaf Inn, Luke Bavester, shared that takings have increased by 30 percent for the popular country pub. Offering the best in locally sourced cooking, wine and beers, The Sheaf is situated at the heart of a thriving village that takes pride in supporting locally. Luke shared how the venue has made a name for itself across the county over the past six decades. Photo: The Sheaf Inn

11. Oblique
Oblique has now been open for a year in the town centre, on a street packed with hospitality venues – Wellingborough Road. Though you would imagine that Oblique has faced tough competition, the venue believes it offers something unique from those nearby and the team champions its fellow traders. Fresh and homemade food is available at breakfast, lunch and dinner time. Photo: Oblique
