Founders ‘incredibly proud’ to celebrate a year of their welcoming space for beauty therapists
Two founders are “incredibly proud” to celebrate a year of offering a welcoming and professional space for the beauty therapists of Northampton to kickstart their careers.
S Beauty Bar, located in Gold Street Mews, was launched by Saffronne Rose and Nathan Raeside in February 2025. The pair were passionate about providing an affordable place for people to grow their beauty and wellness businesses at the heart of Northampton town centre.
Saffronne also previously ran The Mews Beauty Bar, which was established first in Gold Street Mews in September 2024. However, the decision was made to focus her efforts on S Beauty Bar and the original venture closed in July last year.
S Beauty Bar is described as a stylish and comfortable salon with flexible rental options in a modern and prime location, which boasts a collaborative and creative environment.
The independent venture celebrated its one year anniversary on February 12. The team is proud to have helped many self-employed therapists by creating an environment where they can offer their treatments without the financial pressure and costs of running a business solo.
Saffronne told the Chronicle & Echo: “The salon renters are not just tenants, they are part of a supportive team. This sense of community has helped them grow their client bases, feel secure in their work and focus on delivering high quality treatments.
“Our business model is built around supporting individuals who want to build and grow their own businesses. We provide a fully equipped, central salon location with affordable rent.”
Saffronne described S Beauty Bar as a “one stop shop” for beauty treatments of all kinds, and those who operate from the premises have praised the experience.
This includes LYD Aesthetics, thekaashlab, Marina Hairdresser and Illume.aesthetics, who say S Beauty Bar is supportive, empowering, inspiring, rewarding, welcoming and has helped them build confidence as small business owners.
“We’re not just a salon, we’re here to build people up,” said Saffronne. “Giving people a space to rent as self-employed workers means they don’t have to give up on a new career path.”
Saffronne shared that she and Nathan would love to open a second S Beauty Bar location elsewhere in Northampton town centre, which is on their radar for the near future.
