The former Thorntons chocolatiers closed in July last year after shutting down for the first national lockdown.

The former home of high street brand Thorntons in Northampton's high street will reportedly become a phone repair shop.

The chocolatiers in Abington Street shut permanently in July 2020 after initially closing down for the first national lockdown in March.

Since then, planning permission was granted to refit the premises in town centre to become a retail store on the ground floor with space for two flats above.

Now, the Chronicle & Echo understands that the shop on the Abington Street ground floor will be a phone repair shop.

Thorntons joined its neighbour, the former Clintons Cards store, as one of Abington Street's high street brands that closed in March 2020 only to shut for good.
