Driver seriously hurt after crash near Corby

The driver of a Jaguar was seriously hurt after their car left the road near Brigstock at the weekend.

The silver Jaguar S-Type was travelling on the A6116 Sudborough Road towards Corby at about 5.30am on Saturday (July 16) when, for reasons not yet known, it crossed the carriageway and came to rest in a ditch on the opposite side of the road.

The driver, who is from Corby, was taken to University Hospital Coventry with serious injuries.

A Northants Police spokesman said: “His three passengers, two men and a woman, were taken to Kettering General Hospital with minor injuries.

“Witnesses, or anyone with information about the collision, are asked to contact the Northamptonshire Police Collision Investigation Unit on 101 or call the Drivewatch Hotline on 0800 174615.”
