Could your town get a new Aldi? Supermarket invites Northamptonshire suggestions
Aldi is calling on shoppers across Northamptonshire to help decide where its next stores should open as part of a major nationwide expansion plan.
The supermarket chain is inviting customers to suggest towns and areas that would benefit from a new Aldi store, with the most popular locations to be reviewed by the company’s property team.
The move forms part of Aldi’s long-term ambition to reach 1,500 UK stores, with more than £370 million being invested in new sites this year alone.
Jonathan Neale, managing director of national real estate at Aldi UK, said the company wanted to make affordable food more accessible to communities across the country.

He said: “We know how important it is for people to have access to affordable, high-quality food close to where they live, which is why we’re asking our shoppers to help us identify the communities that would benefit most from a new Aldi store.
“Opening new stores in these areas means we can bring great value to more customers, while also creating jobs and offering industry-leading pay.”
A similar initiative last year highlighted demand for new stores in areas including London, Merseyside and Oxfordshire, with progress already made on planned sites in Liverpool and London.
Residents wishing to nominate a Northamptonshire location can email [email protected] with the town name in the subject line before June 18, 2026.
