Ten places where Lidl wants to build new stores across Northamptonshire

Supermarket chain has eyes on sites in six towns county-wide

Lidl are offering a big incentive in return for help finding more sites to more than double the number of stores in Northamptonshire.

The supermarket chain already operates eight sites in the county but has eyes on ten more.

They just need the land — which is where you come in.

And if you can help them find it, there's a 1.5 per cent 'finders fee' for freehold deals or ten per cent of the first year's rent for leaseholds.

Tell them where to look and they'll give you an answer within a week.

A spokesman for UK arm of the supermarket chain said: "Ideally, land must be in prominent locations in towns or out-of-town locations with easy access and strong pedestrian or traffic flow.

"It should ideally have frontage next to a main road with easy access for vehicles and pedestrians.

"In terms of shop size we would look to build units between 14,000 and 26,500 sq ft and could include freehold, leasehold or long leasehold opportunities.

"The overall land for a standalone store, including a car park, would need to be at least 1.5 acres, and up to four acres for mixed-use schemes.

"If you have a suitable site or know of one, you are encouraged to get in touch via the property page on our website."

Four of the target areas are in Northampton, two in Kettering and one in Corby.

But Lidl also want to break new ground with stores in Towcester, Brackley and Daventry.
