A Northamptonshire hotel has reopened its popular spa after months of remaining closed.

Guests were welcomed back to the spa at Whittlebury Hall yesterday (September 1) for the first time since March.

As part of the reopening, bosses have implemented a number of safety measures in line with the hotel’s ‘StaySafe’ initiative, including reduced capacity and increased sanitation.

It is hoped that the scheme will give guests peace of mind that the highest standard of health and safety is being adhered to throughout the premises.

Sophie Clear, spa manager, said: “We all need a bit of pampering and ‘me-time’ after lockdown, and so we are very excited to be welcoming our valued guests back to our award-winning spa and getting back to doing the things we enjoy.

“As with the rest of Whittlebury Park, we have implemented thorough staff training and health and safety measures with our StaySafe Initiative, so that we can confidently reopen and offer our guests a tranquil, stress-free experience.”

As part of the initiative, high standards of hygiene will be maintained throughout the spa and therapists will use the relevant personal protective equipment to ensure the safety of guests and staff.

Appointments will be longer to allow for thorough cleaning between each client and there will be a limited number of guests permitted in the spa at any one time, to allow for physical distancing.

There will be increased sanitation of treatment rooms and facilities, and treatment rooms will receive a room seal to indicate that nobody has accessed the area since the last deep clean.

To prevent transmission from communal-use products, each spa guest will also receive a thoughtful individual amenity kit of essentials on arrival.
