A new takeaway restaurant serving burgers, desserts and milkshakes has opened in Daventry town centre despite the current coronavirus lockdown.
Zizou Express opened in St John’s Square yesterday (Wednesday, November 10) - a sister restaurant of its namesake in Wellingborough and Zizou Lounge in Northampton.

Hide AdOwner Jay Mehmood said he always wanted to open a branch in the town as he went to college in the town.
“It’s a massive honour to be able to open up a business in the town I went to college. It’s a bustling place with a range of food options," he said.
"Sadly, due to coronavirus restaurants are now closed and people are nervous to go out so I decided to open a takeaway to create exciting quality comfort food that people can enjoy in their own home".
After leaving college, Jay worked for global financial services giant Deloitte in London for several years.

Hide AdBut from a young age, he knew he wanted to build something for himself in the restaurant and hospitality sector, which is where his passion is.
The young entrepreneur has worked tirelessly to bring something new and exciting to the market and did not want to be stopped by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Zizou Express' menu features dishes such as the Zizou Tower Burger, Lotus Biscoff waffles, banana split sundaes, Tango Ice Blasts and peri-peri chicken.
