The salon off Abington Street announced its last week of trade at the beginning of November shortly before the second national lockdown.

However, Freestylers' owner Dawn Candy says her customers don't have to lose out because of the closure and can still get a cut from their favourite barber.

Dawn is asking for her customers to visit her at her new home in St Giles Street after partnering up with the team at Nik's Hair Parlour.

In a series of posts on the salon's Facebook page, Dawn said: "The hairdressing industry like many others is in a volatile state, due to Coronavirus.

"It's been a difficult and exhausting time for me.

"As I have come to the end of my lease, I will now be collaborating with my friend Nik. Now is the time of change and in doing this we must support one another.

"I will be at my new stylish location from early December at Niks Hair Parlour in St Giles Street.

"I would like to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who has supported my business over the last 5 years. I've had an amazing successful time and it's been a real pleasure."

When England comes out from the national lockdown on December 2, all hair salons and barbers will be able to operate under any of the Government's three Tiers.
