A spokesman for Rushden Lakes said: “We can confirm New Look has closed at Rushden Lakes.

"We have a great new brand lined up for this space and are looking forward to announcing very soon.”

A post on the Instagram page for New Look Rushden Lakes says: "Our store is permanently closed, but you can still shop your fave styles online at newlook.com or once lockdown restrictions are lifted in our Wellingborough and Northampton stores."

The closure of New Look follows on from confirmation that Two Seasons and Jigsaw were closing in September, and Jack Wills shutting up shop there in October.

It's been a tough year for retailers with many shops and restaurants having to close due to the Covid-19 restrictions.

But despite this, some new names have added to the line-up at Rushden Lakes in recent months, including The Works, Levi's, Regatta and Mooch.

There have also been some changes to the store which originally opened as House of Fraser.

The shop, one of the site's anchor stores, recently rebranded as Frasers and now includes new departments Flannels, Sports Direct, Game and USC for the first time.

Rushden Lakes boasts more than 40 stores and 19 restaurants, including Chi, the Asian street food restaurant which opened last month.
