An empty unit on a Northampton business park could become home to Northampton's own branch of Canadian coffee chain Tim Hortons
The former Pizza Hut on Marquee Drive in Riverside Business Park closed in 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Hide AdNow, a proposal has been put to the borough council to reopen the restaurant as Northamptonshire's first franchise of the coffee brand from Ontario.
Tim Hortons, which sells coffee, doughnuts and bagels, has 4,500 chains in native Canada and the US, and since 2017 has opened 27 outlets in the UK.
The franchise reportedly aims to launch an outlet in "every major English town and city by 2022".
Plans include creating a drive-through lane for the restaurant, similar to the five other fast-food outlets on the park including KFC and McDonald's.
