Take a look inside the brand new 'cosy and family friendly' steak restaurant just opened in Northampton

The new eatery serves premium steaks such as Wagyu and even offers seafood

A new steak restaurant aiming to provide a 'cosy and family friendly' atmosphere has opened in Northampton.

Moosteak in Wellingborough Road opposite Seckingtons was opened via a soft launch on Wednesday (December 16) and was then officially opened by Mayor of Northampton, Councillor Brian Sargeant, yesterday (December 18).

Owner, Saf Choudhury, has previously run a hospitality venue, but wanted to venture into serving food that he loves, inspired by his travels around the world.

The restaurant, which Saf hopes will provide a 'cosy and family friendly' atmosphere, does not serve alcohol, but instead offers a range of non-alcoholic beverages.

Saf said: "We've been talking about this for a couple of years and we've been working on the premises for around four months and it's finally alive now.

"We're extremely excited, happy and pleased to provide something different for the community.

“The concept of my new restaurant is quite simple, we aim to provide exceptional food, including premium steaks such as Wagyu to seafoods like lobster.

“We present a range of gourmet burgers like the Del Boy or The Laughing Madonna and even have some world inspired dishes with a British twist.

“We are extremely passionate about what we do and our ethos is that we don't just make food, we make people’s experiences.

“Our food is second to none and we are quite easily the most unique restaurant on the Wellingborough road.”

The business owner says Covid-19 has made the venture challenging and he is also concerned about the possibility of moving into tier three and having to close his doors again.

However, for now Saf is happy to welcome customers and is keen to urge them to see what the restaurant is all about before any tier changes are made.

Moosteak is open from Tuesday to Sunday and also offers takeaway via JustEat.

Below are pictures of what the new restaurant looks like inside.
