Inside the new 'best of both worlds' takeaway opening in Northampton today

From curries, to burgers and kebabs there is something available for everyone

A new double cuisine takeaway has opened in Northampton today (December 16).

Fusion Spice, named by a couple who lives close by, will serve Indian food as well as fast food such as kebabs and burgers, as it aims to provide the 'best of both worlds'.Located in Bordeaux Close, off Weggs Farm Road, New Duston, the takeaway business has taken over the former Alsace Park Fish Bar building close to the Tesco Express.

The takeaway was opened by the Mayor of Northampton, Brain Sargeant, at 5pm and is now open for orders, including delivery.

Joint owner, Raff who has Indian restaurants in Kingsthorpe and Burton Latimer, said: "It has been a long journey to get it to where we want it to be.

"We have already had customers coming to see us and to ask if they can order, which gives me a chance to get to know people in the local area, which is what I really want to do.

"I truly believe in being part of the community and I am a people’s person. People buy from people."

The takeaway is now open and will be open from 5pm - 10.30pm Tuesday - Sunday.
