An exact date for when the stores will reopen was not given, but a source told us: "The objective is to open from May 18 though there is anxiety about how it can be managed."
IKEA was one of the first major retailers to shut its stores on March 20, the day before Britain went into lockdown.

"As you know, our stores across the UK and Ireland are currently closed to customers and, with lots of different information out there in the news at the moment, we know you might be wondering about when they might reopen," a spokesman for IKEA told the MK Citizen on Wednesday.
"We wanted to clarify that we will only reopen our stores to customers as the situation allows and in line with government guidance.
