Every shop that's now open at Weston Favell Shopping Centre...and which hairdressers and restaurants will open next month

Twenty extra stores have reopened at Weston Favell shopping centre since lockdown restrictions eased...and hairdressers and restaurants are now planning to come back early next month.

A spokesperson for the centre thanked the public for their ongoing support and understanding.

"The changes put in place have been challenging for all, but everyone has adjusted well to the new one-way system and queuing areas within the centre.

"The shopping centre would always appreciate the public’s continued support in respecting Government’s advice and continue to adhere to the two-metre social distancing rule where possible when visiting and shopping in the centre.

"If this is not possible, from July 4 please do not stand closer than one metre when completing a transaction or when queuing, only using card payments and contactless where possible and only coming to the centre when completely necessary and not in groups, with a maximum of two members from each household at any one time," the spokesperson said.

"To encourage safe social distancing, the centre has been enforced with a capacity limit to a certain number of customers at any one time. Therefore, please be aware that they will be managing the entrance during peak hours, to ensure they do not fall foul of this limit being posed on them.

"The centre would like to thank their staff and retailers who are all working extremely hard in very challenging and unprecedented circumstances to ensure visitors are able to access goods and services safely," the spokesperson added.
