Busy Northampton Sainsbury's gives update over car park improvement works

Sainsbury's supermarket car park in Weedon Road, Sixfields, is expected to fully reopen before Easter, according to a company spokeswoman.

Work is currently underway to replace the deck floor of the car park, with one section recently being completed and reopened to the public.

The Sainsbury’s spokeswoman said: “The work underway at Sainsbury’s Weedon Road is part of a car park upgrade programme and involves replacing the deck floor. We reopened the completed section of the new deck last week and look forward to reopening all of the car park to customers in time for Easter.

"We apologise for any inconvenience and thank everyone for their patience.”

The work was paused in December to allow customers to use the whole car park during the Christmas shopping season.
