Highs of 33 degrees Celsius forecast today (Friday, July 31) will make an ice cold drink outdoors very tempting but revelers must remember to stick to the social distancing guidelines.
The town has been threatened with a local lockdown if the coronavirus infection rate does not reduce so it is important people stay two metres apart and limit their contact with other households.
But that does not mean families cannot enjoy a pint, a glass of wine or a soft drink in a beer garden this weekend with establishments introducing stringent hygiene measures and staff wearing PPE.
Plus the government's Eat Out to Help Out scheme starts on Monday (August 3), meaning half price food and non-alcoholic drinks for dine-in customers from Mondays to Wednesdays until August 31.
