Businesses and charities wanted as Northampton BID prepares for Christmas attractions
Northampton businesses and community groups are being invited to get involved as preparations begin for two popular town centre Christmas promotions.
Northampton Town Centre Business Improvement District (BID) has confirmed its Golden Ticket Christmas Prize Draw will return this year, while plans are also being made for its Santa’s Grotto.
The BID is looking for 10 businesses to host Golden Ticket post boxes throughout the prize draw campaign.
The post boxes will be delivered to participating venues during the week beginning October 26, ahead of the competition launching on Sunday, November 1.
Businesses selected to take part will need to keep their Golden Ticket post box in place for the entire duration of the campaign.
The annual promotion gives shoppers the opportunity to enter a prize draw while encouraging people to visit and spend money with businesses in Northampton town centre during the Christmas period.
Businesses interested in becoming one of the 10 host locations are being asked to provide their business name, address and a contact name.
Meanwhile, Northampton BID is searching for a local charity or community group to benefit from its upcoming Santa’s Grotto.
Families have previously been able to meet Santa as part of the festive attraction while helping to raise money and support for a local cause.
The BID is now asking people to nominate charities or community organisations which they believe would make suitable partners for this year's grotto.
Suggestions should include details of the organisation and some information about the work it carries out.
Northampton BID said: “Each year, families have come along to our Grotto to meet Santa, while helping us support a worthy local cause.”
