Aldi store near Northampton refurbished as part of £600 million investment to reopen this week
An Aldi store near Northampton is set to reopen this week after a refurbishment, which is part of a £600 million nationwide investment.
The Overstone Leys store, which first opened in 2022 and now employs 38 people from the community, will reopen to customers on Friday (October 25) at 8am.
According to the supermarket giant, the new-look store offers updated signage to make shopping easier, as well as increased chiller space - complete with new fridge doors to reduce energy consumption - and re-designed health and beauty and bakery sections for a modernised look. Also, all fruit and vegetables can now be found in the first aisle of the store.
Store manager Leah Strachan said: “The store is looking fantastic, and we can’t wait to welcome our loyal customers back so they can see it for themselves.

"We’re committed to making sure that the shopping experience each customer enjoys in our stores is on a par with the products and service they’re used to.”
During the reopening week, the store will be offering a range of Bluey toys as part of the ‘Aisle of Aldi’ Specialbuys, including a Bluey cash register for £19.99, Bluey keyboard for £12.99 and Bluey figure sets for £9.99.
The transformation is part of Aldi’s £600 million investment into further improving its stores and services across the UK.
