TV presenter and award-winning author Stefan Gates is hoping to create the World’s Loudest Ever Fart when his Utterly Revolting Science Show comes to Wicksteed Park for performances at 11.30am and 3pm on Thursday February 19.
The brand-new show provides a hilarious journey through the human body, packed with burp biology, fart physics and outrageous edible chemistry and tickets are now on sale

The Wicksteed Park World’s Loudest Ever Fart will be created by the audience using a combination of Whoopie cushions, armpit guffs and down-and-dirty raspberries as part of the Utterly Revolting Science Show, and it all depends on a mastery of fart acoustics and teamwork.
It’ll be swiftly followed by the World’s Loudest Mechanical Burp Machine, a horribly noisy example of fluid dynamics.
Stefan, whose TV shows include Food Factory (BBC One), Gastronuts (CBBC), Incredible Edibles (CBBC) and Full on Food (BBC Two), said: ““What child isn’t highly amused and intrigued by the subject of farts? So we want to try and make the loudest one in the world to get them engaged with science and have an amazing, fun-filled time.”
Elevation Wrestling is also hosting Showdown in the Park on February 20 for shows at 11am and 3pm.

Wicksteed Park combines a 281-acre estate including 147 acres of beautiful parkland with a wide variety of rides and attractions for all the whole family.
It was opened in 1921 by Charles Wicksteed, the creator of swings and slides as we know them today, who had a vision to inspire and encourage play as a way to improve families' health and wellbeing.
The Wicksteed Charitable Trust was formed to ensure his work continued after his death and the park has become known as the home of children’s play.
The park has been praised for providing a highly enjoyable and memorable family day out in an assessment by national tourist board VisitEngland.
Awarding the Kettering park a score of 84%, VisitEngland said the attraction remains a well-established and much-loved visitor attraction, offering an excellent balance of traditional family entertainment, expansive green space, and historical significance.
