White collar boxing comes to Royal & Derngate in a glittering fundraising event
White collar boxing comes to Royal & Derngate for the very first time on Saturday April 18, when the Golden Gloves Gala brings a spectacular evening of sport, entertainment and philanthropy to the Northampton venue.
The phenomenon of white collar boxing sees volunteers with no prior experience undertake a 10-week training programme before competing against each other at a gala fundraising event. Funds raised by the Golden Gloves Gala will go to the TOR-ROX Foundation, which supports cancer patients through exercise during treatment.
In addition to the white collar boxing, guests at this unforgettable event will experience unlicensed bouts, and Muay Thai fights with traditional Wai Kru ceremonies. VIP tickets holders will also enjoy an exclusive dinner at their ringside tables, along with pre-show entertainment of live music, a DJ, a 40-person choir, a dazzling fire-eater and much more.
More than just a sporting event, the Golden Gloves Gala is a celebration of community, culture and unforgettable experiences, raising vital funds for the TOR-ROX Foundation. The charity’s mission is to improve the quality of life for those facing a cancer diagnosis and treatment by funding grants to access personalised fitness programmes that aid in recovery, reduce treatment side effects, and promote overall health and resilience.
