Following the success of last year’s production of We Will Rock You, the group is now preparing to stage Shrek The Musical Jr, a lively and colourful show based on the much-loved animated film.
The project offers local young people the chance to gain experience in acting, singing and dancing, while building confidence and making new friends. With its larger-than-life characters, energetic musical numbers and heart-warming story, Shrek The Musical promises to be a fantastic opportunity for performers of all experience levels.
Auditions will take place on Sunday, 26th April, and organisers are encouraging enthusiastic young people from across the community to get involved. Whether stepping onto the stage for the first time or already experienced in performing, participants will work together to bring this fun-filled fairy-tale adventure to life.
Alistair Lloyd this year's Summer Youth Project Coordinator says it is more than just putting on a show — it’s about teamwork, creativity and giving young people a platform to shine.
Anyone interested in auditioning or finding out more is encouraged to get in touch with VCL via their website.
