Andrew Lloyd Webber's first ever School of Rock UK tour is coming to Northampton

A hit West End and Broadway musical is finally heading out on tour... and Northampton is going to be one of its calling points.

School of Rock will visit theatres across the UK starting in February 2021 after a five-year stint in London.

Northampton Royal & Derngate took to Twitter to confirm the show will be coming to Northampton in 2021 and tickets will be 'on sale soon'.

The tour will visit Northampton between Monday November 1 and Saturday November 9, 2021.

The Andrew Lloyd Webber musical is based on the 2003 film starring Jack Black and follows Dewey Finn as he turns a class of excellent students into an ear-popping, riff-scorching, all-conquering rock band, as they prepare for the Battle of the Bands.

The musical features all the original film songs as well we new, original tunes from Andrew Lloyd Webber.

It has already been a hit in London, America and Australia and is expected to be popular across the rest of the UK.

Tickets will go on sale to members on Wednesday March 11. They will then on general sale on Friday March 13.
