"Our Town: The Festival" improving our Northamptonshire community, together
and on Freeview 262 or Freely 565
Co-op's Northamptonshire Member Activator, Jasmine Matthews, is excited to organise the event. Despite the cold of November, she believes the event will be well attended by the local community due to the amount of entertainment on offer.
Local charities are stall holders at the event: educating the public of their mission, recruiting volunteers and raising money for their group. Independent businesses will be showcasing their crafts and selling sweet treats. There's inflatables for the children, a dance performance and a live Wombles Demonstration where the public will don wellies and pickers to support an hour long clean up! The venue, Bradlaugh Fields and Barn, is already renowned with dog walkers and families. It's home to play equipment, forest school and nature areas. It also boasts an inhouse cafe, run by volunteers, where you can purchase Fairtrade Co-op hot drinks on the day!
