Following the outstanding success of its inaugural event at Turvey House in October 2025, Loop Til You Drop is set to return with a new Backyard Ultra-style endurance challenge at Delapre Abbey, Northampton, on Saturday April 18, 2026.

The debut event attracted runners from across the country, drawn by the unique Backyard Ultra format and welcoming atmosphere. Competitors took on a repeating loop course, starting each loop on the hour, continuing until only one runner remained. The event culminated in a remarkable performance by Dom Halbert, who set the current event record by completing 32 loops, a benchmark that now stands as the challenge to beat.

Building on this momentum, the Delapre Abbey event will offer the same inclusive format that made the first event such a success. Solo runners can push themselves in the traditional Backyard Ultra format, while those newer to ultra running can take part via paired entries or a capped loop option, making the event accessible to first-time ultra runners as well as experienced endurance athletes.

Set within the historic grounds of Delapre Abbey, the April event promises a unique blend of endurance sport, community spirit, and personal challenge, with organisers expecting strong interest once again from runners across the region and beyond.
