A Northamptonshire airfield played host to a collection of supercars worth thousands of pounds for the filming of a new television show.

Make UK TV was filming Spotting London’s Supercars, an hour-long special for Sky TV, FreeSat and Freeview, at Turweston Aerodrome earlier this month.

Cars from Ferraris, to Porsche, to Aston Martins were seen on the airfield as the crew filmed drag races. Along with Bedfordshire-based car club Petrolheadsonism at The Sharnbrook Hotel, exotic cars raced up and down the strip.

Make UK TV director Harry Rutter said: “You might have heard the loud Supercars during our four-hour filming slot.

“We were invited to film by Petrolheadonism.Club and we’re very grateful to Turweston for allowing us in.

“The show airs this summer on Spotlight TV and will follow some of Britain’s most in-demand automotive photographers, showing off some of the country’s most exotic and expensive cars and meeting the millionaire owners.”
