A Northampton B&B owner will be doing her best to impress her fellow Four in a Bed contestants on Channel 4 this evening (Wednesday, October 28).

Amanda Lyon-Brown is among the four hotel owners for this week's round, all vying to earn the most for their stays and be crowned the best value.

It has been a long time coming for the landlady after filming the series a year ago but it was delayed from going on television by the coronavirus pandemic.

"It's very strange as we have been waiting a year for it as it was delayed because of Covid but it's finally here," she told the Chronicle & Echo.

Amanda, who was born and bred in Northampton, only took over the reins at Ambles in March last year as the former London-based lawyer's PA always wanted to run a B&B.

She applied to go on Four in a Bed not long after and was accepted, with filming spanning two weeks in October 2019 at hotels in Durham, Telford and Chepstow.

Each B&B hosts the other owners for a night and the guests pay whatever they think the stay is worth, with the winner being the place that gets back the most from what they usually charge.

Amanda said: "It was exciting when they came to Ambles as I had met them all beforehand so we all knew each other and hopefully that comes across that we all got on."
