A television company behind programmes such as Escape to the Chateau is appealing for people in Northampton to take part in a new DIY show.

A spokesperson for Beezr Studios (Spark Media) said: "We are currently casting in the Northampton area for a new DIY series.

"We are looking for homeowners with a DIY crisis, this could be someone who wants to up-cycle a bargain-buy but not sure how to do it or someone who wants to redesign their living space.

"We would also like to give something back to the community, so we are looking for a space that needs help from our experts. So, is there a local school that would benefit from a magical garden overhaul? Or a day centre that could do with a fantastic interior upgrade? Or a mini makeover project to bring life to a community centre? If so, we would love to hear about it from your readers," the spokesperson said.
