BBC’s Antiques Roadtrip expert and crew visit Northampton shop as part of new series

The shop and its owners will feature in an episode that is due to air next year

A TV crew and an antiques expert visited a local shop to select items to take to auction as part of an episode for the new series.

Click Antiques and Vintage in Moore Street, just off Kettering Road in Kingsley, welcomed its guests on Monday (September 28).

The new expert for the BBC show, Antiques Roadtrip, Irita Marriott, chose items from the shop, which is home to 35 independent traders.Although the owners are unable to confirm what items she picked, they are hopeful that they will go well at an auction.

Owner of the shop, Claire Wallace-Sims said: “Click Antiques and Vintage were visited on Monday (September 28) by the Antiques Roadtrip crew.

“New expert Irita Marriott joined us to select several items to take to auction.

“Whilst we can't disclose what Irita bought we have high hopes they'll make for a winning combination for her.

“The episode will probably be screened early in 2021.”

Claire added that the shop is open seven days a week for the public to partake in their ‘own treasure hunting.’
