Christmas song for Lewis Moody and the MND Association

A Singer/songwriter from Northamptonshire is hoping to raise funds for the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association having composed her own song ‘It’s Christmas Eve’. Catherine Di Mambro has released an original, festive and happy Christmas song which is available on all major platforms. Catherine will be donating half the proceeds from this release of the song to the MND Association following the recent MND diagnosis of her friend Lewis Moody.
She said: “When I heard the news of Lewis’ diagnosis, like many others, I was deeply saddened. I wanted to do something light-hearted that would still be effective in raising funds for this cruel and devastating disease. Lewis and his wife Annie have done so much voluntary work for charity (notably The Lewis Moody Foundation which has done incredible stuff in supporting families affected by brain cancer), it seemed fitting to support a charity that offers similar support to MND sufferers and their families, alongside the crucial research needed to combat MND. I wrote two songs and Lewis & Annie chose ‘It’s Christmas Eve’”.
Motor neurone disease (MND) is a fatal rapidly progressing disease that affects the brain and spinal cord, attacking the nerves that control movement so muscles no longer work. It kills a third of people within a year and more than half within two years of diagnosis.
It’s a devastating disease that affects more than 5,000 adults in the UK at any one time and kills six people every day. There is no cure.

The MND Association focuses on improving access to care, research and campaigning for those people living with or affected by MND in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Roger Widdecombe – Relationship Fundraiser at the MND Association, said: “Without our amazing supporters, the MND Association simply would not be able to provide its vital support services, fund research to find a cure and campaign and raise awareness of MND. Together we are making a real difference for people affected by this devastating disease.”
