The Castle Theatre’s annual Valentine’s weekend jazz festival returns to Wellingborough next week.
Starting the weekend in style will be Basin Street to Harlem on Friday, February 13 at 8pm, starring Tad Newton’s Jazzfriends.
Their performance will also feature guests Trevor Whiting and Julian Marc Stringle on clarinet and sax.
The Chris Ingham Quartet headline the following day at 12.30pm.
Their swinging set is packed with songs and stories of one of America’s most enduring and endearing songwriters, Hoagy Carmichael.
Roger Marks, Chris Walker and The Pedigree Jazz Band will offer A Tribute to Trad Jazz from 8pm.
The festival will conclude on the Sunday at 12.30pm with The Magnificent Seven, some of the most sought-after musicians on the scene who blend music from every jazz genre.
Tickets to performances cost £12.50 and tickets for The Magnificent Seven cost £14.
A ticket for all four performances costs £40.
