NEIL and Christine Hamilton will put the politics aside to star in Kettering’s panto Cinderella.

The couple play Baron Hardup and the Fairy Godmother in the show at the Lighthouse theatre.

Christine said: “We have been offered quite a few pantomimes before but it has never been the right time, but with this being a three-week run, it was perfect, so we decided to do it.

“We were brought up with pantomime and Cinderella is a tradtional, family pantomime, it’s good, clean, fun.”

Also appearing in the show are Danny Young, best known for his roles in Coronation Street and Dancing on Ice, and local actress Millie Banks, who was selected after a boot camp-style audition process run in conjunction with The Evening Telegraph. Cinderella opened on Tuesday and runs until to New Year’s Eve.

Tickets cost £15 for adults, £10 for children and £45 for a family of four.
