Eventide events by torchlight


Dance, music and culture come together in a torch-lit performance next week.

The event is called Eventide and it is performed by Two Thirds Sky which is the dance company in residence at The Castle theatre inWellingborough. They are inviting audiences to join them in Higham Ferrers for the series of torch-lit promenade performances.

It will be performed by professional and community dancers and is inspired by the historic sites of Chichele College and the Bede House.

The event is part of the town’s celebration of the 600th anniversary of Henry Chichele. Community performers including members of Castle Youth Dance and The Ferrers School will be taking part. Eventide takes place at Higham Ferrers at 7.30pm and 9.15pm on April 9 and 10.

Tickets cost £9 or £7, with family tickets priced at £28 for four, and can be purchased via The Castle, on 01933 270 007 or at www.thecastle.org.uk. It is suitable for age five years upwards, with performances taking place both indoors and outside; there are standing spaces, with limited seating available to disabled/elderly patrons.
