A unique performance is coming to Northampton later this month which will tell stories of the town that you may not have heard before.
Story Hunt is an hour-long walking tour of the town’s streets, setting off from Royal & Derngate, which is being put together by Royal & Derngate, NN Contemporary Art and ARC Stockton.
The show is being written and performed by Daniel Bye and directed by Sarah Punshon. They are collecting stories from books, museums and archives and are talking to as many local people as they can.
They want to hear people’s tales about anything from the shop your mum used to visit before it got knocked down to the local hero who deserves to be better known.
If anyone has got a story about Northampton, they wouldlove to hear it. Either send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or look out for the Story Hunt pop-up booth in Northampton Market Square on Friday, June 20.
Story Hunt performances will be taking place from Friday to Sunday, June 27 to 29, starting at 1.30pm, 3.30pm, 5.30pm and 7.30pm on Friday, and at 11am, 1.30pm, 3.30pm and 5.30pm on Saturday and Sunday.
