A dazzling and interactive show for children under the age of five can be seen in the county before the end of the month.
Shiny can be seen first at The Core at Corby Cube’s studio space tomorrow (Friday) and then at The Castle theatre in Wellingborough on Saturday, January 30.
In a long forgotten room, two people find friendship, joy and treasure. From ordinary brown boxes come an extraordinary array of colour, sound and texture to delight and engage.
Children are invited to watch and play as all that glitters unfolds before their eyes.
The show has been specifically created by Turned On Its Head for children aged from six months to five years old.
Turned On Its Head is made up of dancers Liz Clarke and Oksana Tyminksa, who create and perform accessible children’s dance theatre. Between them they have 40 years of experience of working with families and young audiences through dance.
Their performances are created by working directly with babies and children over extensive periods, honing the material over months of research and reflection.
Shiny will light up the Lab at The Core at 11am and 2pm.
Tickets – priced at £6.50 each – can be booked by calling the ticket office on 01536 470470 or online at www.thecorecorby.com.
The interactive show can be seen at 11am and 2pm in Wellingborough.
Tickets for The Castle are £5 for adults and £7 for under 16s. As a special offer, one adult comes for free with every under 16 ticket purchased.
Tickets can be purchased by calling the box office on 01933 270007 or, alternatively, by visiting www.thecastle.org.uk.
This is an inclusive family experience and accessible to all children, including learning disabled and physically disabled audiences.
