Tony Christie continues his UK tour with a headline set at the Lighthouse in Kettering next week.
Christie’s career has taken him all over the world and seen him release more than 40 albums, 70 singles and perform countless live shows to thousands of people.
This tour and new album is described as Tony’s musical autobiography, one that shows he truly is a consummate singer and able to reinterpret a song, not merely cover it.
The record features classic covers, including Jimmy Webb’s Didn’t We, George Harrison’s My Sweet Lord, Dobie Gray’s Drift Away and Bacharach & David’s A House Is Not A Home, as well as new songs recorded in Memphis such as the single Early Morning Memphis.
Not only will Tony and his band be treating audiences to his classic hits Amarillo, Las Vegas and I Did What I Did For Maria but he will also be joined by special guests Ranagri to perform songs from his recent hit album The Great Irish Songbook which sees him celebrate his Irish roots.
Tony Christie headlines the Kettering venue on Friday, November 4.
Support is by Ranagri. Tickets cost £24 in advance before fees.
Doors open at 7.30pm.
