The Rotary Club of Northampton West are again presenting a charity musical concert in conjunction with The Northamptonshire Music and Performing Arts Trust. (NMPAT)

This year, the programme will feature the world class and “Pride of Lancashire’s” Leyland Brass Band, who will perform along with the County Youth Brass Band in a spectacular Brass Band Bonanza at The Spinney Theatre.

The Leyland Band is one of the most consistently successful Brass bands in the world today.

Formed in 1946 in the heart of industrial Lancashire as the Leyland Motors Band, taking its name from the then world famous truck and bus maker, it is now an independent group of some thirty musicians that has retained the Leyland connection and proudly bears the name of it’s home town.

Over the years, in conjunction with NMPAT, the Rotary Club have presented many concerts featuring their very talented young musicians .The concerts varying from full orchestral to brass bands. This year, they are very fortunate to have secured as the main attraction the Leyland Band.

The funds raised from this concert will go towards supporting local youth activities including NMPAT; who have received from previous concerts a total of over £17,000.
