Multi- instrumentalist, composer, producer and DJ Adam Gibbons brings the final show of his Hello Baby tour to Northampton next week.
Gibbons – AKA Lack of Afro – released his fifth studio album earlier this year.
With a knack for finding great vocal collaborations, Gibbons raised the bar on Hello Baby, with the album featuring guests including Grammy-award winner Joss Stone, steam-punk hero Professor Elemental and soul singer Elliott Cole.
The album is a genre-bending colossus of an record packed with Adam’s trademark multi-instrumental goodness, heavy drums, percussion-packed production and ear for a good tune.
It also features soul singer Juliette Ashby, Californian rapper Herbal T and rising star of the northern soul / mod scene Emma Noble.
Before and after the show DJs Andy Skank and Phil Istine will be playing a mixture of soul, funk, Latin and ska.
Lack of Afro headlines The Picturedrome in Northampton on Friday, November 4.
Tickets cost £10.50 in advance before fees via WeGotTicekts and SeeTickets or £13 on the door.
